Donglong Temple-Welcoming Donggang Wangye Deities Ceremony

The "King-Welcome Ceremony" held every three years has almost become a national event in Donggang. Among them, the "Burning the King's Boat" ceremony has pushed the atmosphere of this religious activity to its peak, forming a well-known festival culture in Taiwan. Therefore, the residents of Donggang who live by the sea believe that as long as they worship devoutly, Lord Wen, the god of the sea, will surely bless the safety of Donggang. Due to the task of praying for blessings and eliminating disasters, the Donglong Palace King Boat Festival strictly abides by the sacrificial ceremonies handed down during the Qing Dynasty. The ceremonies are not only time-consuming and large-scale but also have a solemn religious atmosphere. Among the ceremonies of Welcoming the King in Taiwan, there is a reputation of "North West Port, South East Port".
